Studio 9 was originally established as a commercial photographic studio working with Web and Graphic designers. We have seen the .Com boom (and bust) and we have played our part in the pendulum that has seen a shift from expensive Stock type photography back to bespoke commercial photography.
Social photography has not escaped this huge shake up. As an industry, speculation was rife that with the invent of consumer digital cameras, we would see a huge decline in wedding and portrait photography when in fact the exact opposite has been the case.
The ready availability of digital cameras seems to have awoken people's senses and more and more people are investing in good quality, well lit and perfectly exposed images.
Styles have changed as well. No more so than here at Studio 9. Gone are the days of portraits being shot in front of fake painted library backgrounds in place of fun high contrast images shot against a pure white background and wedding photography has now adopted the themed wedding along with a relaxed reportage approach whilst still keeping some montage and traditional favourites.
Commercial shoots used to involve huge budgets and detailed remits that generally, were out of the financial reach of small to medium SME's.
Now we see that more and more clients are "Product Aware" and want perfect product photography shot with a "Light box" approach that allows them to pass this on to design houses for post production. The key benefits are that clients are only shooting a product once making the shot (and cost) future proof. One Shot then becomes suitable for Magazine, Trade Publications, Leaflets, brochures and even the Web.
Using cutting edge equipment we are armed with the likes of the industry standard Canon 1DS MkII offering full frame digital images and the faster more robust Canon 1DS MkII offering huge frame rate and speed. As well as this fleet of equipment we only use original lenses.
